HP 250 G6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello everybody.

I am looking for drivers win7 64 bit for the HP250 G6 with Celeron N3060 processor. Ich found in this forum that those drivers of the G5 and for the graphik the one for the G4 should work, but it is not working in my case. Does someone have another idea what else I could try. Or is it simply impossible to get the win7 work on this device? Thanks in advance for any idea!!

Hi, Markus:

Try the W7 graphics driver directly from Intel...on the list of supported processors it shows the N3060...

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27267/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40-?pr...

The 2nd file down on the left side of the page is for 64 bit.

@ Paul Tikkanen

Thank you Paul for your fast answer. Yes, this is worth a trial. But I think I cannot find the rest of the drivers. Your idea in the other part of the forum was to try the drivers of the g5, but in my case they don't work. Maybe  I have to give this notebook back, big frustration.

You're very welcome.

Then I guess you would have to use the drivers directly from the individual hardware component manufacturer's websites.

Chipset:  the 2nd file down on the left side of the page is the auto install file.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility-?pr...

USB3:  Download, unzip and run the setup application...

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22824/Intel-USB-3-0-eXtensible-Host-Controller-Driver-for-...

Audio:  Accept the agreement.  Download and install the 2nd driver on the list.

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownT...

Ethernet:  Download, unzip and run the setup application from the W7 driver file...

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTy...

SD card reader:  Download, unzip and run the setup application from the 1st file listed at the link below...

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=15&PFid=25&Level=4&Conn=3&DownT...

Touchpad:  You can use the W10 touchpad driver from the 250 G6 support page as it also has the W7 driver files.

There are hardly any new model Intel PC's for sale from any manufacturer today that can run W7.

Anything Intel that can run W7 has to be with the older Skylake chipsets and 6th gen core processors.

Wow, thank you very much for this work you do for me !!!!

This I will try .... do you know the typ or maufactoror of the of wlan and the lan so that I can find the driver also? I hope it is not too much what I am asking for.

Anytime.

Since there can be more than one model wifi adapter HP could have installed in your notebook, I would need the hardware ID for the wireless card.

When the wireless card needs a driver, there will be a device listed under the Other Devices category in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.

Post the hardware ID for the Network Controller.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Thanks a lot again. My hope to resolve the problem is increasing -:)     I will try that when I am at home. I already installed the wlan drivers from the g5 with the effect that the wlan-symbol occured, but with a red cross and when I searched for a network I was told to enable the wlan button. But when I pull this button (the flight-modus-symbol) it has no effect, so I thought I need another driver. But maybe there is a problem with this button, I don't know. With a running internet connection everything gets easier.

If you let me know what model wifi adapter your notebook has, I will see if there is a newer driver you can try.

Oh , I have three:  Intel Dual Band wireless-AC 3168,  Microsoft virtual miniport adapter #2 and teh same in german (Microsoft-adapter für Miniports virtueller WiFis) and the Lan:    Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller and

and the drivers are istalled and they are all activated they are all activated. I don't know what I am doing wrong with the Wlan button. I can pull it with or without Fn-button. Nothing changes.

Yes, I heard about that problem.

Someone else with the same model notebook and wifi adapter says it works just fine with W10 but not W7.

I have no clue what to do about that.

In any event, here is the latest wifi driver for that model card...
