This might actually have helped, thank you. However, I was able to install Windows 10 from a newly generated boot stick. The first attempt must have been an old ISO offered by Microsoft if you download from Ubuntu. When creating the ISO boot stick from Windows with the official boot stick creation tool it seems to fetch a much more recent version that had all the required drivers packed.

I would never have considered using anything but the latest Windows ISO file on a PC with such new hardware, and I assumed you had used the latest one available.

 

Using outdated installation files normally causes issues.

 

In the future I will have to ask that question first.
