we are facing issue joining the HP 840 G7 to the domain.
it is connected with the HP USB mini dock C
we are trying to reimage the machine with UUID.
In the tasksequence we have added 2 domain join steps, one the network settings and one after driver package step with ping step also added with a 10 sec delay.
Anyone faces similar issues before. Any help would be appreciated.

We have no way in assisting you in this -- as domain management is a commercial activity. You will have to contact the managers of the domain you are trying to join for their assistance.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

Hello
if you are using HP USB-C-to-rj45 dongle, check the dongle revision version. it's written on the label.
if it's revision B, you have to update the firmware.
to update the dongle firmware download those two softpaqs:
1) ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp110001-110500/sp110277.exe this is latest USB Realtek Ethernet driver.
2) USB-C to RJ45 firmware ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111241.exe
3) even better update the 840 G7 BIOS. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp110501-111000/sp110906.exe
install the driver on a computer with an USB-C port
attach the dongle
run sp111241, inside it you will see an executable. start it, follow the instruction on the display , in few seconds the firmware will be updated. don't remove the dongle until you see the message that firmware has benn succesfully updated.

Hi
If using a USB-C dongle, make sure you have updated it
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/HP-840-G7-unable-to-join-the-do...
In case you use a USB-C DOCK it is a timing issue. The network card isn't always ready when the PC boots
You can disable fast boot but we sometimes see it anyway.
I have added a small script after "Setup Windows and Configuration Manager" that makes the TS wait for a valid IP address
and then after that I run a conditional extra "Join Domain or Workgroup" that only runs it if the PC is NOT already joined by the "Setup Windows and Configuration Manager" step.
SELECT * FROM Win32_ComputerSystem WHERE NOT Domain LIKE "%Insert FQDN%"
