HP 8840p sd reader not working realtek solution not effective

Have read solutions for using the realtek driver and have downloaded and installed this and restarted pc.

In the base system device properties states that:-

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

located at PCI bus 68, device 6, function 2

even though I have installed the realtek driver package  (RtsXStor_10.0.370.147) and run setup

where to now ?

Hi:

There is no such model as an 8840p notebook.

If you have a 8x40p notebook, then you need this driver for the sd card reader...
