Hi guys, My Windows OS recently tried to update BIOS from the Windows Updates. After restarting, I can see a black screen and no response from the computer. Neither caps lock lights nor mute lights. I tried Windows + B, Windows + V, V, B, but nothing is showing on the screen. Is there any way I can get my computer working again?

HP support video for bios recovery

Click here to see how to recover your BIOS.
Do 1, 2, and the first part of 3.
For the second part of 3 you will need a USB flash drive and possibly an
older BIOS if the recent BIOS caused the problem. Make sure the USB flash had LED lights.

For laptops, step 2 'CMOS reset' there is no CMOS battery nor CMOS switch and no need to open the laptop. Use the Windows key + 'v' as explained here.

To install from USB.
When you power up your system the LEDs on the flash drive should flash once at the instant power is applied. They will then flash about three to five seconds later (hopefully). When they flash a second time that means the files are being read from the flash drive. If you never see it flash a second time then the boot loader is damaged and you cannot recover the bios unless you use a programming tool or replace the chip. You hold down the Windows key + B key when powering up with the USB flash inserted.

I was unable to identify your PC from BS104x

what is the exact model and I may be able to locate a bios for you to install.

Hi BeemerBiker,

Thank you very much for your response, My laptop Model is HP 15-bs104 (sorry for typo). I have tried using a USB and I installed the recovery using the HP BIOS recovery tool from a working computer. I plugged the USB to the corrupt computer and followed these steps:

1. The computer was powered off and plugged in the USB drive.

2. I pressed and hold Windows + B and turned on the computer.

3. The fan spinned after 10 seconds but no response.

What im doing wrong?

Go here, scroll down to the bottom and download the bios that might have worked.  I am guessing the Dec 2023 one

Install in your USB and try booting it while doing the Win-B again.

If no luck then
