I'm afraid that I have to answer YES to your question 😕
HP was stating - Install "A" but provide you only with B,C,D,E ....

So I got feed up with that and gave it a try. I even tried to install the resto f them, but it discovered that it's not compatible and didn't continue...

And answers like WHY do you want to do that? - while HP was saying DO IT...

Windows sux and I'm glad I got rid of it  completely.

You need to reset the CMOS. After that I've could to install the latest BIOS (F.50) on my laptop.
