I've had my HP Envy for less than a year. I look after it well and rarely take it outside of my home - only once or twice for classes and even then it had a cushioned cover. I only use my laptop for essay writing and university research. The laptop has been overheating - once even burning my leg! - and it melted off the rubber grips on the bottom. Recently I have noticed that the entire bottom part with the keyboard and mouse pad has become completely warped with the mousepad falling down on one side and even some of the keys on the keyboard slanting at strange angles. Alongside this the screen continually goes black and flickers which is significantly impacting my work. I've been trying to get in contact for a long time to try and see if I can get my laptop fixed but no one has gotten back in contact with me. It is extremely upsetting as I invested in his piece of equipment and it has barely lasted 10 months. I really need help!

Hi KrazyToad,
Thank you for getting back to me. I'm based in London, U.K. What would be the next steps for me to take? As I'm sure you can understand I'm really concerned about what has been/is still going on with my computer.
Kindest regards,
Em

I'm having the same type of issue. Mine is warped at the mousepad. I thought it was the hinge before when it first started happening a few months back but now it is very prominent and like a mound on one side. My laptop won't even close. I luckily haven't burnt my leg but I use a lapdesk. I have noticed the heat on my left hand though coming out the side. Can you please have someone contact me as well? I'm in the US.

my HP envy is warped as well. I have had it 2 1/2 years. but i just noticed it this week. today it started talking so some of the keys must be pressing against the lid on their own.
Someone please contact me to see if there is any solution.
