My 14' HP Envy issues has been having troubles since I bought it in October 2018. It will disconnect from the internet multiple times an hour, no matter my location (home, school, library, public wifi locations). At this time it will also freeze the screen, make the mouse pad lag, and if audio is playing, make a beep sound. When this happens I will trouble shoot the device. Sometimes this works and sometimes I just have to wait for it to reconnect. This makes doing any kind of work online difficult.
I have taken in the computer into Geek Squad 3 times. And each time, the computer passes whatever tests they run on it. The Geek Squad associate I spoke with acknowledged that this was a problem he had seen several times with this model but that there was no recall on the device and that there is nothing they can do to fix the issue because the device "passes all hardware testing". I know this issue is with the computer and not my internet connection because it happens everywhere and because no one else around me (with different laptops) regardless of my location is having issues. What can I do?

Good evening,
Have you tried updating the driver for your wifi module? Download the HP Support Assistant application and install it and check for driver updates for your laptop. There may be one for your wifi module that will fix your connectivity issues. Also, I would recommend checking for Windows updates and installing them if they are available.

Hi, @Mtbravo7
What model wifi adapter does your notebook come with?
If you don't know, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.
