HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop is about a year old and HP has not been making updated drivers available. For example, in March of 2019, Intel announced major graphics driver flaws that needed to be updated.

I am still waiting for HP to issue an update. I am using a driver from November 2018. HPs dowmload and support page has outdated drivers in all categories and support assistant is the same. Should I be going direct to Intel for drivers? I feel HP has abandoned me.

Hi:

I wouldn't wait for HP to release updated graphics drivers.

I asked the same question by contacting the HP executive team and I was informed that I can use the latest graphics driver from Intel.

Now, you can't just download and run the driver, so I wrote a knowledgebase article for how to manually update the Intel graphics driver to the latest version...the article I wrote is below...

Thanks for the help...it worked great. Can and should I do the same for Intel RST and Optane drivers?

You're very welcome.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't use the latest drivers from Intel for the RST/Optane.
