I am watching videos on the watch page on Face book and about every 30 to 40 min my notebook just turns itself off...jumps to blue screen saying shutting down and the wheel thing spins and the whole machine just turns off! I can't understand why.? I ran diagnostice test and says all is fine no problems, so can somebody please help me figure out what is happening and what I can do to fix it? I would so appreciate it! Here is the general info on my notebook.

Hi, I ran all the tests you told me to and everything passed.
The laptop quit doing this right after I posted the issue, and hadn't done that since then, but it just started doing the same thing again now.
Now what to do??
Thanks for your thoughts and help....I sooo appreciate it.
Maria

Hi,
Here is information you wanted for number 1, and for number 2.
I am like super illiterate when it comes to computer language and technology.....in fact I don't even know how the heck I get back to you each time...but luckily I manage....let me ask something real quick...could this be a windows problem rather than a HP notebook problem? If that is possible, should I just reinstall windows 10 ? I don't have the original windows 10 but I think I can get another and download it to my kingston flash drive and then reinstall it from there. How do I save all my files though...should I save them to the same flash stick and go from there? Or do you think this is more of a laptop itself problem and not a windows 10 problem?

Hello @Maria7264 / @Maria72641
You don't need to reinstall Windows
(1) Download and install / run BIOS Update
HP Notebook System BIOS Update | F.28 Rev.A | 9.4 MB | May 20, 2019 | Download |
Information:
Why should you install the update ? https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4123786-2338478-16 Quote: " Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:

(2) Reboot
(3) Let BIOS be installed until it's completely done !
(4) Change Windows <power setting>

(5) Reboot Windows

Hi There,
Ok, i reinstalled the BIOS update and the machine said it was successful then the machine restarted itself. Then before I could come back to this point and see what to do next, it turned itself completely off again.
So I completed this (3) Let BIOS be installed until it's completely done ! and that was all I did before it shut down again.
So, do you need to give me other instructions now,
OR
Do I now need to go ahead and finish the rest of this stuff (#4, 5 and 6 ) below? And if that answer is yes....are you wanting me to Change windows <power setting> to what??? did you want me to disable the sleep mode or the Hibernation? And then Reboot windows? rebooting windows....is that the same as restart?
(4) Change Windows <power setting>
--->>> How to disable Sleep Mode or Hibernation
(5) Reboot Windows

Ok, back again!
So when I got to the disabling Hibernation, #1 on the print screen is what it said it should look like when finished, and after I did what it said to do in #1....#2 is what showed, so I haven't gone forward from there, and am just sitting tight now to know what to do about the issue that it didn't end up looking like the screen says it should look like?
Thanks,
Maria
