Ok then, I have completed all those steps, and restarted the computer. Now, its just a matter of time to see if the notebook shuts itself off on its own again. Sometimes it has done it really soon after doing something and other times it has taken days to weeks to do so....so it is just a matter of wait and see now. I hope all this wasn't for nothing, and that the issue is fixed now. I will keep my fingers crossed for that to be fact!

If it happens again, I will come back. If not, I absolutely want to tell you thank you so very very much for all the help and for my being able to get it fixed, because I live in Mexico and make only 2 dollars an hour, so obviously I am unable to fix it and pay the price to do so by taking it to a shop. So, your assistance truly is more appreciated  than you could ever imagine!

Hopefully, we won't be communicating again over this issue at least! Have a great rest of your day.

Thanks,

Maria

Good morning,

Obviously you must know that sadly, the things we did  did  not correct the problem! Darnit! The laptop has now shut down a total  of 5 times since yesterday when I hoped it was fixed...It did take about 8 hours to start doing that again though.

So, back to the drawing board? Do you have an idea of what to try next? And, by the way...I have turned it on and tried to send you this message and had it shut back down on me 2 times.....this is the 3rd try at getting this out to you. Is there another way for me to reach you like through an email account or something if I can't get this machine to stay on at all ? I am afraid that just might happen here eventually!

I will wait to hear back from you again,

Thank you so much for your effort and your patience  in trying to help me fix the issue!

Maria

Hello @Maria72641

There is a possibility that the notebook will switch off in case of overheating. Thus, this is not exactly predictable.

We need the check CPU and GPU temperatures ...

(1CPU

Download, install and start <Open Hardware Monitor>

https://openhardwaremonitor.org/

--->>> take screenshot after a few minutes <idle / do nothing>

(2GPU

Download, install and start <GPU-Z>

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

- click tab [sensors]

- Remember to select the right graphics chip/card on bottom

--->>> take screenshot after a few minutes <idle / do nothing>
