Hi there,

I have a HP Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors) / M1V66UA#ABA - Update will not install.  When it gets to the installation it just runs and runs overnight.  I've tried to follow these instructions:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00042629  I've saved the bios file to flash, but when i get to the update utility it will not update.  It says "This BIOS update is not compatible with this device."  Help!  I'm not sure what to do.  I looked up the update with my product number. and HP Support Assistant seems to be grabbing the same update.  What do I do?

You do not really need any of them, however, you can try installing the latest firmware pack (BIOS)

Hope it helps,

when i tried to install the f.35 - HP Firmware Pack (Intel Processors)....i received an error that says:  WDM: Get platform info error!

AND, when i tried to save to flash drive and install, it says, this  BIOS update is blocked on this device.

Hi,

You do not need the update, it is most likely for a different platform.
