OMEN by HP 17-an000 Laptop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys I just bought a HP OMEN 17-an013na it comes with a standard hdd but I want to change it to an ssd immediately. My question is how can I do this safely without losing the windows 10 license? Should I boot up on the standard hdd and register then just do a clean install of windows on the ssd?

Windows 10 license key is embedded to the BIOS therefore you can change HDD to SSD without any problem. You can do a fresh install or simpy clone existing HDD to SDD then swap.

Thats great thank you, one last question. If i do a clean install of windows can I download all the laptop specific drivers from the hp website? Or should I clone the drive to be safer?
