In HP Support and Driver Downloads, BIOS F.47 Rev A appears as a possible upgrade for my laptop (however when I click in the "Detect my drivers" button, it does not appear as an update to my current BIOS).
This is a double message and it leaves the question unanswered:
Is F.47 Rev A by HP suitable for HP Pavilion 14-bf083no ?
It it a recommended update?
Or am I better to stick with the old one F.22 by Insyde ?
I recently installed 16 GB of RAM (2x8 GB) and I would like to have the latest BIOS in case that would give some advantage in terms of running efficency.

Hi @Beatl3,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The updates will get automatically detected by HP support assistant. I suggest that you run the updates from HP Support Assistant by following the steps listed below:
- In Windows, search for and open HP Support Assistant, or click the app icon
in the taskbar.
- On the My Dashboard tab, find your computer, and then click Updates.
- Wait while HP Support Assistant analyzes the system.
- After the analysis completes, select the listed updates, download and install the updates, and then follow any on-screen instructions.
- If prompted, restart the computer, and then close the tool.
You may also refer to the HP document to download and use HP Support Assistant by visiting this Weblink.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi,
Perhaps I was not clear enough.
I have done the steps that you prescribe, but there are no updates for the bios there.
However, in the Web Version of drivers and updates, F47 Rev A appears as a choice. I need a responsible answer whether this BIOS version IS appropriate for my machine or NOT. Can you provide such an answer?
Thanks
Andreas
