Hi:

Try the USB3 driver directly from Intel.

Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

Brilliant, that got the USB drives working - but still seems none of the drivers here:

Seem to work.

Some of them should be working.

Ethernet, card reader, audio, wireless...

Please list the names of the devices that are missing the drivers and post the hardware ID's for them too.

To find the hardware ID, click on each device and then click on the Details tab at the top of the device window.

Now you will see a property drop down list and it will be set to device description.

Drop down on that list and select the second item (Hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

The puzzling thing is when I run the exe that does the extraction of the drivers I always get a compatibility troubleshooter popping up.  I am downloading the Windows 7 drivers and I'm on a 64 bit version - so it confuses me somewhat.  I'll compile a list of hardware ID's after work.  Thanks so much for your help with this Paul, you're probably pretty tired of this subject by now.. 🙂

You're very welcome.

We'll see what we can do.

This is like a puzzle to me, and that if it all comes together, it was worth the effort.

So, I've got a bit further ... the Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver has now installed, it seems extracting it on another pc and then bringing the extracted files has a bit more success.

First main stumbling block is:

Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver

When I run the setup program I get the message "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software." - I assume I have chosen the wrong one?  I downloaded the latest verion of the driver at the top - there is a previous version, there is also another version dated Nov 19, 2015 that I haven't yet tried.

Hi

I would try the latest Intel graphics driver you can find on that support page.

Here is the problem...that support page has drivers for the ak models that have the 5th and 6th generation core processors, so you have to pick the right graphics drivers to use as they would be different for the 5th and 6th gen core processors.

If they all don't work, then try the one directly from Intel.  3rd one on the left is for W7 x64.

Perfect, I had to use the Intel driver in the end but that worked nicely - and that allowed me to use the driver to install the Nvidia graphics card!  Which also worked perfectly.  I have also managed to install a fair few of the other devices.  The annoying one that doesn't work though is the wireless drivers - if I could get that one going I think the rest of the devices are only like to be minor ones.

Any suggestions for the wireless driver? 🙂

That is why I need the hardware ID's for the devices that need the drivers.

There is no information online as to what model wireless network adapter your notebook has.

Without the hardware ID's, I am pertty much blind as to what drivers you still need.
