Twice now when I have stepped away from my HP Pavilion laptop, it has gone to sleep and won't wake up. When asleep, it doesn't respond to any of the usual signals, like repeatedly hitting the space bar or clicking the mouse. I've had to force it down and bring the system back up, which obviously is not desirable. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I need to do about it? I'm in a stretch of work where I don't have time to keep fiddling with this and I'm terrified that it's a virus or imminent failure.

@KGil
Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
- Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
- What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
Keep me posted for further assistance.
