Hi there everyone,

I had an initial issue with my Pavillion 360 where bitlocker locked my SSD and even after unlocking it - Bitlocker would relock the drive. I assumed it was a virus and Windows needed a refresh.

Allow me to take you down the rabbit hole.

My first few attempts was to just unlock the drive, type in the extensive code and let the laptop restart. Which always returned me to that beautiful, modern and sleek, blue tinted
Bitlocker Recovery Key Screen.

After quite the amount of attempts to try and break free from the lovely Bitlocker Recovery Key I decided to take things up a notch - and do a windows refresh. Obviously, the computer is locked - so I copy the installation media from another computer onto a USB flash drive, launching the USB from the BIOS and into windows installation I go.

The computer boots the advanced startup just fine, it boots the Windows Installation media fine - however it does not detect any drives, initially doing some research it looked like I needed to turn off secure boot. I followed suit and restarted.
and to my surprise nothing happened.

I did a little more fidgeting with the bios (I don't remember exactly what I changed or how I did it) but I got windows to run an installation. Unfortunately, only the touchscreen worked, the touchpad and keyboard stopped receiving input on the OS. Do note, it does work on the BIOS screen.

After a restart, nothing. Windows doesn't even load - It's just a black screen. So I let it sit for 30-45 minutes and nothing had changed. After attempting another clean install I was left with one method: command prompt.

I launch the command prompt from the USB installation media. Where once again the keyboard nor touchpad work. I managed to get the keyboard to work by doing several hard shutdowns while the laptop is booting. Where I then "cleared" the c drive to try and do a complete wipe of the system, to do a absolute clean install. No drives were detected again when back in the installation media. so I completely wipe the drive from the BIOS to again - try and have a clean install done.

Initially, I knew something must have happened when the BIOS error message said "No Drive Detected" and upon removing the SSD and doing a double take to make sure that yes - the error would be similar in a sense. I wasn't expecting the exact same error when the SSD was removed. So I put it back in and turned on the laptop again.

Excitement rolled through my body when I plugged in my Windows Installation Media and it immediately booted without needing to use the F9 menu. However, No drives detected, and I still had a unresponsive Keyboard and Mouse when in the OS setup.

This might have been the biggest oopsie daisy. But the captain doesn't abandon his ship.

I tried using another USB stick loaded with Ubuntu to try and "preview" Ubtuntu and look at the contents of the C drive and see if it was cleared. The USB stick did not boot.

What did work, was a USB loaded with a Debian installation and managed to successfully install Debian. However, keep in mind - the keyboard and trackpad still does not work - and after installing Debian had no touch input. I was stuck using an actual keyboard and mouse to navigate the installation and the post-installation experience.

Figuring that now there could possibly be nothing that windows could have errors with I try to install Windows, again. Still - no drivers. I installed a Intel Storage driver straight onto the USB with the Windows Installation. And with it - no luck.

So, now I am here.
If there is no solution that's completely understandable - but I am willing to do some more extensive trial and error.

I dont't have any pictures of what it used to look like but I can take a pictures if needed.

@CG2000,

If your laptop comes with an Intel Core 11th gen processor, the Windows installer needs to have Intel RST storage controller drive to detect the drive to install Windows on. You need to download IRST driver from HP website and extract and copy driver files to a Windows installation usb drive. Please see the thread below for how to do it.
