Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

sorry for my bad english. I have a hp pavilion DV6000. Yes I know it's an older one, but it's still running very well with Windows 10 32-bit at the moment. I don't know how I got it running. But know I have to change to Windows 11 and that is the problem for me. I could not find any drivers for my model. I know I have to take older drivers for Windows Vista or Windows 7 in 64-bit.

Can someone help me and tell me where I can download the drivers for me? At the best I need ALL drivers for chipset, graphic card, audio, network, cardreader, hp quicklaunch-buttons.

Hi:

You won't be able to run W11 on your PC because none of the processors used in the model series meet the new requirements Microsoft enacted on processors for W11 24H2 and newer.

W11 won't even let you boot from the installation media.

See this link for more information:

HP retired support for the model series since it is more than 10 years old.

When it was supported, drivers were only for XP and Vista.

The only place I know of that has drivers for your notebook is this reputable 3rd party website.

Don't click on any of those ads or black rectangle popups.

You can install W10 64 bit on your PC if you want, but actually the 32 bit OS uses less drive space and memory than a 64 bit OS does.

Hello,

thank you for your quick answer and sorry that I came back not until today. The last weeks and months I could only find time at the weekend for testing and so on.

I have installed Windows 11 23H2 on my old hp-model, Yes I had to bypass the minimum requirement for the installation of Windows 11. But it was easier that I thought before.

By default after Installation of Win11 the color of the taskbar is lightgray. Now I have made a backup to be able to always start with a fresh windows 11..

Then I installed a chipset-driver and after that one grafic-card-driver. After the installation of the grafic-card-driver the screen changes to the right solution - so good so far. BUT more about that the color of the taskbar switches from lightgray to black. And I could not see any entries in the startmenu because there changes the color to all grey.

I spend a lot of weekends to make the same testing at first with another chipset driver and following different grafic-card-drivers. But all tries come to the same result..... the wrong color of the taskbar.

I searched the internet for a solution or for references. But I found no goods.

I tried different packages from original nvidia chipset driver and wondered to the content. There are always SMU and SMBUS-driver enclosed, and only in some packages there was a third one calls nf4sys.inf  For which component is this one? And when i installed it by rightclick I got the dialog confirmation that it was installed. But where can I see it in the device-manager? Is this one necessary for the grafic-driver to work fine? Or for a stable system?

Is there only one combination of chipset and grafic-driver which will work fine correctly together?

I could read also, that the Windows Vista driver where based on WDDM 1.0 but Windows 11 needs WDDM 2.x or WDDM 3.x driver. Older driver would only be loaded in compatibility mode. Is that true?

Only once by all my test I got the right combination of chipset and grafic-driver: the screen solution was right and the color of the taskbar. BUT I restartet my hp, and after that I was very sad to see, that the color of the taskbar changes again into black. What is this? What is here changing? Why could it not so like before restart?

Can anyone help and explain the behavior? Is there a solution for my color-problem?

Thank you very much in advance.
