Hi everyone,
I seem to have a chicken and the egg paradox. This pc has Win 11 installed and encrypted with bitlocker. I have a valid recovery key. I have tried many different boot up scenarios.
1. Startup normally, the automatic recovery starts and asks for language choice, then goes to Repair or shutdown.
If I try startup repair, it fails immediately. If I go to cmd prompt, diskpart, the internal ssd is not listed in disks.
2. Startup from Win 11 setup thumb drive, with or without secureboot on, bitlocker does not ask for recovery key. Win 11 setup loads; I click repair, cmd, and diskpart. The internal 1TB SSD is there and shows a 2TB partition with no volume attached. Startup repair fails there too. Partition detail show Type EE, Active: no, Hidden, Offset 512b
3. I tried taking ssd out, installed in nvme pcie enclosure and connected to my windows 10 home pc for recovery or repair, bitlocker would not ask for key to unlock when I inserted the drive. Disk management shows the SSD and the healthy partition, no volumes. How can I recover the volume to then unlock and repair?
