My Laptop HP Spectre x360 has come up with Windows 10 pro license. Recently I've been getting frequent notification prompt like "Your windows license will expire soon". I've checked activation status and it is saying that "Your windows is activated using your organization's activation service".
Screenshot has been given for both.
My confusion/queries:
1. Why my windows activation status is "Your windows is activated using your organization's activation service"?
2. Shouldn't it be digitally signed for OEM Windows 10 in HP Spectre?
3. Why I'm getting license expiration notification? shouldn't I get perpetual license with HP Spectre?

Hi:
Unfortunately, no one here would be able to help you with that issue.
The specs for your notebook indicate that it came from HP with W10 Home on it.

You have two choices as I see it...
1. Reinstall W10 Home using the HP cloud recovery client utility to create a bootable USB recovery drive.

2. Contact Microsoft activation support for assistance at the link below...

I've re-installed OS using HP cloud recovery client utility to create a bootable USB recovery drive as per option #1.
Now the problem is I've lost data which I kept in different Drive (I made drive C: with 100GB for windows and D : drive with rest storage for data backup). I thought only C: drive would be impacted. But HP recovery process actually deleted the whole 240GB SSD. How can I get the backup files back?

Hi:
Unfortunately, I don't know if that is possible.
Why didn't you back up your files as instructed in step 1 of the link I posted?
Step 1: Prepare for recovery
Prepare your computer for system recovery before you download and install the HP Cloud Recovery Tool.
Back up your personal files.

Hello @sam781 .. @Paul_Tikkanen
As I understand it, all data has been deleted, since the system has been reinstalled completely.
It may be possible to recover some data, but it may be difficult, and only recover some of it
To do well, do not make any updates!
Do not install anything more, basically do nothing with the pc more!
(deactivate internet connection)
You will need to use specialized software, and have at least an external hard drive!
I give links in French, simpler for me, but they are often multilingual software
If I invite you to look for your side if necessary
