Wanted to chime in, I was having freezing issues as well on my Spectre X360 13-ae013dx. Tried every trick (WiFi sleep mode trick, updating GPU drivers, turn off power saving battery settings for the WiFi card...) Intel drivers fixed it.
...However, the Intel drivers do not install because they claim that they are incompatible with your hardware if you just try to run the exe installer. You need to download the zip version of the driver and use the "Have Disk" method.
This is the newest at the moment.

(Prerequisites: Download the zip version of the newest driver from Intel's website, unzip it somewhere safe and easy to navigate to.)
1. Press Start and search for "Device Manager".
2. Under Display Adapters, right click on "Intel UHD Graphics 620". Click "Properties", then click "Update Driver".
3. Click "Browse my computer for driver software".
4. Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
5. Click the "Have Disk" button.
6. In the window that pops up, navigate to the folder that contains the drivers, and then open the "Graphics" folder. Click on any .inf file and click open.
No one has posted this in that huge 10+ page thread on these forums that is high ranked on Google, or anywhere on Reddit, and HP has not updated the drivers to fix this issue. (This specific computer has been out for 7 months and costs a whopping $1,500! And there are tons of other affected models, all $1000+... How is this even possible to be ignored for so long?! It's not like nobody is reporting the issue, and it's not like they have to "work on" the fix - it's already out.)
I wish I could go in and let the people know in all of these places that it is fixed, as I bet most of them have given up trying to fix this after so long, or changed the Panel Refresh option thinking it would fix the problem when it actually doesn't.

Is there anyone with access to a way to get directly in contact with someone at HP that can get these drivers updated for all of these computers? This is crazy.
