Spectre X360
Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

Having the same issue as many, many other owners in this forum are having.

Clearly there is some type of issue with the HP Spectre x360 motherboard; my issue though concerns why I spent an hour and a half on the phone last night, told 3 different prices for repair, then told today it will be $400 to repair this, at my cost, as the computer is 6 months out of warranty.

I purchased it in May of 2017 from Best Buy;  why are most comment on here saying that HP has replaced the burned or defective motherboard, yet I was asked to pay $400?

Someone please help!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

I am having the same issue. My laptop is only 5 months out of warranty but I was told it was going to cost at least $600 to fix. That's almost half the original cost of the PC. Customer support wasn't much help
