Hi.  I received the private message, but all they said was to contact technical support.  They did not ask for any information.  Is this in line with your expectations of what I should have received?

Thank you again for your help with this.

I had to contact HP Technical Support.  The solution was as simple as doing a hard reboot on the laptop to get the USB-C port to work again.  For this model, it was removing any connected devices including the power, powering down the laptop, holding the power button for 20 seconds.  it would be nice to having info on preforming a hard reboot with the user guide.  There was nothing there.

Yes, mine got completely black and fans on 100%

I had an interesting phenomenon while firmwareupgrade:

   Writing BIOS up to 100%

   Verifing BIOS up to 100%

Then the Update shows Writing BIOS 62% and stays there for hours.

After a forced shut off the screen is black. With a recoverystick with F.28 I can recover the BIOS.

Today Windows Update tried to do an update to F32, and it showed same behaviour as described above.

To be honest, this Notebook is like my Renault. It's the most beautiful I ever had... But the worst in regrads of reliability.
