HP Stream x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP Stream x360 is constantly trying to download an update for Windows 10, but it can't do it as it needs an extra 8 GB of space. I performed a factory reset and there still isn't enough space for it to do the update. It gives an option to add an external drive - but it still needs the 8GB of space on the laptop. Why would HP even push this update out if it has products that it is unsuitable for?

I am not concerned about having the update, however it keeps trying to download it, before getting part of the way there and then stopping and sending me a notification. This stuck download is using up all of the free space on the laptop so i can't put anything on it. I tried putting the laptop as having a metered connection but it still seems to download somehow!

On top of this, when i turn the laptop on, the keyboard and mouse doesn't work, and i have to use the touch screen to log in, or keep turning my laptop over until it realises that it is in desktop mode. If i log in with the touch screen, it can take ages for the laptop to get back to keyboard mode, and the touchscreen isnt very useful for browsing the web as the keyboard keeps closing. I have uninstalled the keyboard and done the factory reset and both haven't worked. I have also set the laptop to never enter touch screen mode but this hasnt worked either.

I am really fed up with this notebook - it really is quite a useless product. I bought it for browsing the internet, but i hardly ever do this as i spend so much time trying to fix all the problems or even log in!! I just wanted something cheap i could browse online easily but these notebooks are obviously a rip off. I only bought it a couple of years ago and yet my 10 year old laptop works much better and has a lot more space available on it!!

If anyone can help fix this it would be really helpful!! I have seen similar threads about the update issue but no one seems to have gotten anywhere with it. Surely HP should offer some advice or support on this? I have tried their troubleshooter but that didn't help either, and it doesn't look like they have any real people working in their advice centre.
