HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D120AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I purchased HP laptop today.  Found that hp warranty started working on 10/2021, found a link how to dispute my warranty. Entered my laptop serial number on a dispute warranty page. It said there were many products with this serial number and I need to enter my product number. After I entered my product number it erased it, turned red, and said "please enter correct product number", repeating the same question every time I entered laptop product number. Serial and product number were found on HP support assistant. What should I do?

(Selected  subcategory for the question is probably wrong, but I didn't find anything better)

Hi:

Yes, I don't understand HP's new product number identification process.

It used to be one product number produced one specific model.

Here is the list of individual PC's you get when you enter that product number!

HP PartSurfer

I can tell you that your notebook is probably not the 1st or 3rd listed because 'ca' means the notebook is sold for use in Canada.

It is none of the 'tu' models, because those are sold for use in SE Asia and India.

So, yours is one of the others listed.

See if by entering your notebook's serial number in the search box, if it returns your exact model notebook and you should be able to enter that product number in the warranty dispute form to complete the form.
