Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I don't use forums often, so, apologies. I was attempting to repair a HP laptop that will not load to the windows login screen. Now, the owner wants to simply reset the PC, to remove personal files. I will attempt to list everything I've attempted, and subsequently failed .

System restore from restore point, failed

Load from USB Win10 image, failed to load

Windows automatic recovery, failed

Attempt boot to safe mode (w/ and w/o cmd) failed

Reset to factory (keep files and wipe) failed

Restore to previous version, failed

Removed battery for hour, as well as all peripherals, failed

Set boot order to usb, failed to load from usb

Seemingly no matter the avenue I take, I come back to HP logos with dots, occasionally followed by black screen with dots .Recently I got Loginui.exe error with paramaters. At a loss. My friend has to turn this computer in, but needs his personal information removed; however, I'm running out of good ideas.  Thanks, in advance.

@Micjlane

Have you run any Diagnostics on it? Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.

If it passes Diagnostics try a System Recovery. Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. From the menu tap F11 System Recovery. Follow the steps here:

Thank you so much, for your quick response.  As it happens, I did try the diagnostics test, to find the hard drive failed the dst.  I suppose I can at least give it back to my friend now that I know what's wrong. Thanks again!
