Haven't used my nc8430 for couple years, recently tried to wake it up, but it failed. Battery recharged, seems to want to run on external power supply. My original HP driver disk long gone. I do have an authentic Windows XP disk, installed WinXP, but now I need all the drivers, foremost is the wireless driver. HP's Support page reports it does not have any drivers for WinXP. Tried selecting other OS, but HP reports the same for all Windows versions. Clearly the nc8430 is an abandoned product, even though I have it running nicely under WinXP.
Is there someone out there who has a driver disk for the nc8430, who would consider posting it on DropBox or Google Drive or OneDrive, or any cloud service for large file transfer?
Thoughts of others?
Regards,
Terry

After posting my above appeal for nc8430 dricers, I continued poking around the H{ site, and to my surprise, I found them...
Click on Support
Do NOT click on Sofyware and Drivers
Click on Support and Troubleshooting
Provide model nc8430
Voila! They all show up.
After downloading one of the drivers, do NOT click on the drop-down menu inviting you to "close"
Do click on the "X"
If click on "close", the driver list disappears and you have to go back to the beginning and start all over. If you click on the "X", that menu item closes and the driver list reappears as if by magic.
Hope this helps someone.

Terry

Hello
THis computer is at least 10 years old but drivers are still on HP FTP site.
if you use the utility HP Softpaq Download Manager , with another computer connected to Internet, you can download the drivers.
use google to find how to download softpaq dwonload manager.
this is a partial view of drivers available:
this should help you.
