Is there a way to create an administrator account while not being able to log into a Windows 10 machine? I've been trying to recover the data from my laptop using the HP Recovery Manager advanced troubleshooting options, however, there is no administrator account so I am not able to use the file back up option...
Also, I ran file backup wizard, which prepared a list of files to back up, however, when I inserted a usb drive for saving the files to, while the usb drive showed up in the list, the wizard did not allow me to hit "next" and start the backup process!? Any ideas why??

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues backing up your data using the recovery manager.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
If you are able to boot to the command prompt from the recovery manager then you can create a new user account on the computer following the below steps.
The command you need to enter is relatively simple: “net user NAME PASS /add” – replace NAME with the name of the account you are creating and PASS with the password for that account.
To back up your data using the recovery manager follow the steps in the below article.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
