Hi @Royyyyyy,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP laptop displays a black screen with the HP logo and a spinning cursor after a reset, it may indicate an issue with the boot process or the Windows installation. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the problem:
Step 1: Perform a Hard Reset
- Power Off the Laptop: Press and hold the power button until the laptop turns off completely.
- Disconnect External Devices: Remove all external devices (e.g., USB drives, external hard drives) and disconnect any peripherals.
- Disconnect Power Charger: Unplug the power charger from your laptop.
- Remove Battery (if applicable): If your laptop has a removable battery, remove it.
- Drain Remaining Power: Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect Power: Reinsert the battery (if removed) and connect the power charger.
- Power On the Laptop: Press the power button to turn on the laptop.
Step 2: Boot to Safe Mode
- Turn Off the Laptop: Press the power button to turn it off.
- Power Button and F8 Key: Turn on the laptop and immediately press the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
- Select Safe Mode: Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and press Enter.
Step 3: Perform System Recovery
- Access HP Recovery Manager: If Safe Mode does not work, you may need to perform a system recovery.
- Press F11 at Startup: Turn on the laptop and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly until the Recovery Manager window appears.
- Select System Recovery: Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system using the HP Recovery Manager.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
