Hello @Alden4 -- for some reason, the HP Community Forums often don't send an E-mail notification of a reply to any of my forum posts, so I'm sorry for the delay in a response to you. Hopefully, someone from this site can look into why E-mail notifications aren't immediately sent out upon comments being posted, so that these things aren't missed so regularly.

I don't know if you've looked at the other links in my post, because I have several active (and some inactive) posts that run parallel to this very issue. Case in point: I already posted the product number on a previous topic, which can be found here.

Hopefully, you can help me out -- thanks in advance

Hello again, @Alden4

i'm sure you meant well by referring me to the contact link in your last message, but one of the linked items on the page referred me back onto this HP Support Community, which has basically brought me right back to where I've started all along, asking for help here.

In addition to this particular topic, here are the other parallel topics I've opened on the matter; all three are interconnected to the same overall problem with my device.

If you or anyone here could offer any help on any of these matters, I welcome all replies.

P.S. I am also in need of assistance with this (separate) topic as well: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Boot-and-Lockup/My-HP-Desktop-Will-Not-Boot-Or-Power-On-Topic-...

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Just making a fresh post to keep the topic open -- I'm still having some issues, so feel free to leave a comment if:

  • you know how to copy a hard drive's "AppData" folder without getting an "administrator permission" error

  • you can recommend a successful means to back up the contents of a hard drive without getting an "administrator permission" error

  • you may know of a means to correct the "Automatic Repair" reboot loop issue, with or without the need to back up the hard drive beforehand (if necessary)

Any helpful replies are appreciated -- thanks in advance

Thank you for your reply, @Elohi_NR, but no such private message from HP was ever sent to my Inbox; apologies in advance for having to do this so frequently, but I wanted to make sure the topic isn't locked out for inactivity.

Again, if anyone has an explanation for what is causing the issue or what can be done to correct it, you are welcome to leave a reply.

Thanks again in advance
