My HP Pavilion 15-n278sa stopped working, I have run the HP Hardware Diagnostics tool from bios.
When testing the hard drive it comes up with.
SMART Check: passed
Short DST: Failed
Failure ID: 9LGJ6F-7AV90Q-MFPV6J-60R903
I would really appreciate help in understanding what this means as I'm guessing I need a new hard drive.
Thanks
Jamie

Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced. Is it still under warranry ? If Yes, please call HP for a replacement.
