Hi @DaOne713,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding performing a hard reset on your HP Envy 15 Notebook PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you are experiencing issues with your HP Envy 15 Notebook PC, performing a hard reset can help clear the memory and reestablish connections between the BIOS and hardware, potentially restoring functionality. Here are the steps to perform a hard reset for HP notebooks with non-removable batteries, including the HP Envy 15:

Turn Off the Notebook:

  • Press and hold the Power button to turn off your notebook.

Disconnect External Devices:

  • Remove the notebook from any port replicator or docking station.
  • Disconnect all peripheral devices such as USB storage devices, external displays, and printers.

Unplug the AC Adapter:

  • Completely disconnect the AC adapter from your notebook.

Perform the Reset:

  • For HP Envy 15-3000 series, press and hold the Power and Beats buttons simultaneously for 8-10 seconds to force a reset.
  • For other HP Envy 15 models, press and hold the Power button alone for 8-10 seconds.

Reconnect the AC Adapter:

  • After the hard reset, connect the AC adapter back to the notebook.

Restart the Notebook:

  • Press the Power button to turn on the notebook.
  • If a startup menu opens, use the arrow keys to select "Start Windows Normally," then press Enter.

Update Drivers:

  • Reconnect any peripheral devices and run Windows Update or HP Support Assistant to ensure all drivers are up to date.

I hope this helps.
