Hello all,
I have a weird CPU throttling issue since upgrading to Windows 11.
Basically 'High Performance' mode is unusable under battery power. Everything slow and jerky.
Looking at task manager performance tab, CPU does not go beyond 2.0 Ghz.
I did not have this issue under Windows 10.
After various attempts at solving this I noticed that when using 'Balanced' power mode in Windows, things are way better.
Still not getting the same performance I was getting under Windows 10, but at least CPU speed goes up to 2.8/3 Ghz but not beyond that. When plugged in it will reach 4+ Ghz.
What I've tried
- Changing power mode
- Changing power plan settings (min CPU)
- Some changes in BIOS but I can't remember what exactly (in any case it made no difference)
Appreciate any help
