Because the new SSD is not preformatted, would the boot partition be automatically created for me when factory resetting using HP recovery media or using windows media?
If I have to do it manually, what are the steps for that?
I also want to know how I can create MBR on the new SSD. I have backed up the HP BIOS setup on another thumb drive just in case.
Just FYI: My scenario is that when I install the new SSD, my laptop does not have any installed windows (because the active windows installation was on the removed drive). "Access is Denied" when I use bootrec/FixBoot and RebuildBCD. I don't know what you mean by "automatically prepare the disk" as the new SSD cannot be used to create the cloud recovery media.
I must appreciate your efforts to stick by me throughout the problem.

Hi:
The cloud recovery media should do all the disk preparation automatically.
In order to format the drive MBR, you will need to go into the BIOS, enable legacy mode and disable secure boot.
See this link for the settings to change.

Then boot the cloud recovery media from the legacy USB diskette on key/USB hard drive, and the drive should be formatted in MBR.
You have to create the bootable cloud recovery drive using another Windows PC with W7 or newer installed.
