I have now had 7 case numbers assigned and 3 service orders since I got the new computer in May. It continues to have Blue Screen of Death crashes at intermittent times. The computer is obviously a lemon. The last repair attempt that failed was done through the escalation team. Within a few days of the return of the computer, another BSOD crash occurred again. Is there a phone number of HP in the US that I can contact to authorize replacement or credit towards a new computer? I have been without a reliable computer for 5 months now and several weeks without a computer at all as the computer has been shipped back and returned during which I had no use.
The escalation manager said they may replace it with a refurbished computer if they can't fix this one. I find this problematic since I paid for a new laptop, not a refurbished one. I would hope that HP would stand behind it's products but it looks like they are only giving out bandaids.

Our volunteer community workforce is not positioned to challenge HP Support decisions.
We are users and owners of HP Technologies - people like you.
That said,
We do have the means to forward requests for review.
Request for Review
- I have submitted a request that someone review your question / concern.
Worth Noting
- Our Community is not HP Technical Support, nor are we HP Sales or HP Service.
- Our request for assistance on your behalf does not influence the outcome: Our request is not a magic back door into HP Support.
- The time frame (how long it takes) for a response is not controlled by the Community.
- If / When there is a response, a Community moderator / agent will (should) post back on this thread before using other methods to contact you.
Note to those reading:
- Do not contact random numbers posted in a public or private message by “new members”. Vermin are looking for victims – don’t be next.
- Please do not post any personal or case information here - we cannot make use of the data.
- Posting personal information at a public site increases your risk from rats and scammers.
Thank you for participating in our HP Community.
