Hi @Nugy6006,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
To enable the advanced BIOS settings on your HP Pavilion gaming laptop, you typically need to access the BIOS/UEFI settings and modify certain options. However, not all BIOS options are exposed by default, and you may need to use a specific key combination or enable the "Advanced Mode."
Here are a few steps.
1. Access the BIOS Setup
- Turn off your laptop.
- Turn it back on and immediately press the Esc key (or F10, depending on your laptop model) repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
- From the Startup Menu, select F10 to enter the BIOS Setup.
2. Enable Advanced Mode (If Available)
- In the BIOS Setup, check if there’s an option called "Advanced Mode" or "Advanced Settings" in the menus (usually under the System Configuration or Security tab).
- If you see this option, enable it by selecting it and changing the setting to Enabled.
3. Unlock Hidden Settings (If Required)
- Some advanced settings might be hidden by default and require a special key or password to unlock.
- If this is the case, it may require a password (if set), or you might need to perform an additional procedure outlined in your laptop's manual or by HP support.
4. Update BIOS (If Needed)
- If you don’t see advanced options, check if your BIOS version is up-to-date. You can visit the HP Support website to download the latest BIOS update for your model.
- Sometimes, advanced options are unlocked in newer BIOS versions.
5. Exit and Save Settings
- After enabling the advanced options, save your settings and exit the BIOS by pressing F10 and selecting Yes to save changes.
