Hi, I got a new HP 15-db0045ns and I can't change the direction of the touchpad two-finger scroll by any mean.
I found different ways to do it but none of them applies to my case as they always refer to change something that is not in my laptop.
For instance, in this tutorial, my touchpad is synaptics but I don't have the synaptics settings tab as shown in the tutorial.
I can't change it either in the registry as I don't have the described folders or files in other popular tutorials.
I havce tried to download the latest drivers from the HP support page and it doesn't change anything. I just don't have any settings related to reversing the direction of the scroll anywhere, neither in Windows settings or anywhere.
Is there any chance to chat with any HP support people?

@kmint Here are a few steps that should help get the missing synaptics tab back:
Step 1: Go to Device Manager > Mice and other pointing devices. Right-click on the Synaptics option and go to Properties.
Step 2: Go to the Driver tab and note down the Driver Version (19.5.10.75 for my laptop).
Step 3: Click on Update Driver.
Step 4: Click on ‘Browse my computer for driver software.
Step 5: Click on ‘Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.’
Step 6: Now select a version less than the one that you noted above. In my case, it is 19.5.10.69 version. Click Next and you will be asked to restart the PC.
Once you log in again, open Control Panel and go to Mouse settings. The Synaptics tab will be happily sitting there. Click it to modify TouchPad/ClickPad settings and you can make the necessary changes.
If none of the methods mentioned above bring back the Synaptics tab, install Synaptics app from the Microsoft store. Once installed, launch it and you will be able to modify its settings.
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

Sorry but this doesn't make sense:
Step 4: Click on ‘Browse my computer for driver software.
Step 5: Click on ‘Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.’
Step 6: Now select a version less than the one that you noted above. In my case, it is 19.5.10.69 version. Click Next and you will be asked to restart the PC.
You tell me to "select a previous version from a list of drivers available on my computer", and I don't know where those older drivers are suppoused to be stored on my computer. WHen you click on it you must find the location and of course it is unknown or unexistent.
However, there is a button in the Drivers tab within Properties that says "Reverse to previous driver", and I clicked it, restarted the laptop, and voilá, the scroll doesn't even work anymore. So I had to return to the current version.
And when I tried to install the Synaptics apps it says Error all the time, as if I already had it installed... but I can't find it or open it anywhere.
THis is driving me cracy, I asked in other forums and nobody knows. I wonder what's so special with my Windows 10 that I don't have what everyone seems to have in order to change the direction of the scroll, I have used the opposite for decades and it's on all my other devices so I never get used to it in mhy brain as I use multiple devices.
