This is nuts - This is really getting to be frustrating. Virtual assistant only gives vague instructions, apparently it doesn't know which BIOS my laptop has although it ias the product key, and I don't see the storage option at all
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I am never buyint HP again if this does not get resolved.

Hi @17cn1053cl,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I Understand you are trying to turn off RST in BIOS
Try these steps:
Restart Your Laptop:
- Turn off the laptop, then turn it on again.
- Press the "Esc" key repeatedly as soon as it powers up to enter the Startup Menu.
Enter BIOS Setup:
- From the Startup Menu, press the "F10" key to enter BIOS Setup.
Navigate to Configuration:
- Use the arrow keys to go to the "Configuration" or "Advanced" tab. This tab might vary slightly based on the BIOS version.
Find Storage Options:
- Within the "Configuration" or "Advanced" tab, search for "Storage" or "Storage options". Look for "SATA Mode" or similar phrasing.
Change SATA Mode:
- Find the "SATA Mode" setting. If it shows “Intel RST” or “RAID”, change it to "AHCI".
- Use the arrow keys to highlight the setting and press "Enter". Then select "AHCI" mode.
Save Changes:
- Press the "F10" key to save changes and exit BIOS.
- Confirm any prompts asking if you want to save changes.
Restart:
- The laptop will restart with the new settings applied.
I hope this helps.
