- I turned on safe mode on my laptop and restarted the laptop. Since then, the internet connection has gone. And there is no option to turn on the internet. The main problem is - there was a PIN in the lock screen for security. But now I can't see any option to open the laptop with the PIN. Here it shows - "something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again.
Set up my PIN."
There is no option to input the previous PIN. There is also no way to set up a new PIN because there is no option to turn on the internet.
When I try to install Windows again, the laptop's SSD drive is not shown, only the Removable USB Pendrive is shown.
Note :
SSD Drive not working.
Internet connection not available.
PIN Input option not working.
Laptop: HP Pavilion x360 convertible 14-dy1xxx
Windows 11 24H2 version

Hi @fmjoynal
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP laptop is stuck in Safe Mode and you're experiencing issues such as no internet connection and problems with your PIN, follow these steps to exit Safe Mode:
Use the System Configuration Tool:
- Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type msconfig and press Enter to open the System Configuration window.
- Navigate to the "Boot" tab.
- Uncheck the "Safe boot" option.
- Click "Apply" and then "OK."
- Restart your laptop to boot into normal mode.
Use Command Prompt:
- Restart your laptop and press F8 repeatedly during startup until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
- Use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" and press Enter.
- In the command prompt window, type bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot and press Enter.
- Restart your laptop to boot into normal mode.
Internet Connection and PIN Issue:
- Once back in normal mode, you should be able to reconnect to the internet. If not, ensure your network drivers are enabled.
- For the PIN issue, if the login screen prompts you to set up a new PIN, follow the steps to set it up again.
- If setting a new PIN does not resolve the problem, consider logging in with your password and resetting your PIN through the account settings.
Additional Troubleshooting:
- Ensure all device drivers, especially network drivers, are up to date after exiting Safe Mode.
- If needed, update your Windows settings and check for any available system updates.
If these steps do not resolve the issues, you may need to look into additional troubleshooting options or contact HP Support for assistance.

I got rid of this problem by following the process below and doing a new Windows install.
How to install a new Windows from Windows Safe mode.
Making the SSD drive visible (if you need to reinstall Windows)
If for some reason you cannot log in and reinstalling Windows is the only solution, follow these steps to make the SSD drive visible:
Download the Intel RST driver:
Using another computer, go to the official HP support website for your laptop model: HP Pavilion x360 convertible 14-dy1xxx.
Find the "Storage" or "Driver-Storage" section.
Download the driver named "Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) Driver". It will usually be a .zip file.
The file name may be something like sp... or Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Driver.zip.
Extract the driver:
Unzip the downloaded .zip file.
Inside the unzipped folder, you will see a folder named F6flpy-x64 or Drivers. This is what you need.
Copy the driver to the pen drive:
Copy this driver folder (F6flpy-x64 or Drivers) to the root directory (main folder) of the USB pen drive that you are using to install Windows.
Reinstall Windows:
Boot the laptop from the USB drive.
When the "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen appears, you will still not see the SSD.
Click "Load driver".
Select the driver folder that you copied from the USB drive.
The installer will load the driver and then you will see your SSD drive.
Now you can continue installing Windows.
. Find the correct driver folder
Among the driver files that you downloaded and extracted, there is a folder that is created for the Windows installer. This folder may be named F6flpy-x64, RST or Drivers.
If you downloaded the driver in .exe format, you need to extract the required driver files from this .exe file. select the .exe file > mouce right click > click extract here.
Install the driver and then select an SSD partition.
As you can see from the picture, your SSD drive is encrypted with BitLocker. Because of this, the Windows installer cannot make any changes to the drive or install Windows.
BitLocker is a powerful encryption tool that keeps your data safe. Without disabling it, you cannot install Windows. But the problem is, you are now in the Windows installer, where there is no way to access the Control Panel.
How to fix this problem
Erase all data on the drive (the easiest and most effective way)
If your SSD does not have any important data or if you have backed them up, then this is the easiest way. This will erase your BitLocker and all previous partitions.
The picture you provided shows options like "Format Partition" and "Delete Partition".
Format a partition such as C Drive. Then select the partition. Using this method will permanently delete all data on your drive.
Select the partition and start installing Windows.
