Hi all. New here and looking for any help with my machine.

my Hp 250 G7 recently did the free upgrade to windows 11. Everything worked fine until the bios update kicked in. This appears to have corrupted the bios and the machine no longer boots. I’ve tried the Hp usb recovery option with windows +b key. This boots it to the recovery option where it says initialising and then turns off and on again.

no option to install bios and when back in the screen stays blank.

I have called Hp who said my machine is not compatible with windows 11 even though it updated through the free upgrade. They have said either the ssd is damaged or even the motherboard from the upgrade to windows 11. I have removed the bios chip and have a full dump bin file. Flashed the new bios and soldered back to the board. This then also doesn’t boot but makes the caps lock key flash. Tried the usb again and won’t boot. Went back to original bios and no caps lock flash but back to the initialisation screen and then reboot.

I can’t believe windows 11 could have done this. I have placed the ssd in another hp laptop and it boots fine and even allowed me to roll back to windows 10.

has anyone got any ideas. This machine was in excellent condition. I have added the screen for clarity.

thank you for any help.
