I have a Hp Omen 16 Wd0770tx and it won't Boot up..Just a Caps Lock blinking 3 longs and 2 shorts.. As the Warranty was expired i gave the pc to a Third Party Repair store...they said due to voltage Some Integrated Circuits were blown...He even said the Graphics Card IC was also blown.. I'm a bit lost here what is the next step i can take?

Hi @SanketBiswas,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the non-booting HP Omen laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Confirm the Blink Code:
- Double-check the blink pattern to ensure you interpreted it correctly. Blink patterns are used to diagnose hardware issues.
Independent Verification:
- Consider getting a second opinion from another reputable repair service. Understanding exactly which components need replacement or repair can clarify your options.
Determine Repair Feasibility:
- Discuss with the repair technician about the feasibility and cost of replacing the damaged integrated circuits and the graphics card IC.
- Consider the age and overall condition of your laptop when deciding on whether to proceed with repairs.
Evaluate Replacement Options:
- If repairs are costly and close to the price of a new device, it may be more practical to invest in a new laptop, especially if the damage is extensive.
Backup Important Data:
- If it is possible to access the drive, consider removing it and using an external enclosure or device to backup any important data from the laptop.
- Your third-party repair service may be able to assist with this if you provide an external drive.
Consider Component Upgrades:
- If repairing, discuss potential upgrades that can be done simultaneously (e.g., adding more RAM or upgrading to an SSD) to enhance performance post-repair.
I hope this helps.
