I have Hp Victus 16 and i sent it to cleaning and when i got it back it doesn't turn on. Battery led is white and always on so i don't think battery is the issue. When i click the power button , power led blinks once and nothing happens , other leds (caps lock , num lock etc.) doesn't blink.I already tried holding the power button for 10-20-30 seconds and still nothing. Is there a chance its a motherboard failure , should i be worried?

Hi @huckk,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP Victus 16 doesn't turn on after being sent for cleaning and exhibits the symptoms you described, it could be due to several possible issues. Here are some steps to diagnose and potentially fix the problem:
1. Check Power Supply:
- Ensure Proper Connection: Make sure the power adapter is properly connected to both the laptop and the power outlet.
- Try a Different Outlet: Plug the power adapter into a different electrical outlet to rule out any issues with the current outlet.
2. Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect Everything:
- Unplug the power adapter and remove any connected peripherals (USB devices, external monitors, etc.).
- Battery Removal (if possible):
- If your model allows for easy battery removal, take out the battery. If not, proceed without removing it.
- Hold Power Button:
- Press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect Power:
- Plug the power adapter back in (leave the battery out if it was removable) and try turning on the laptop again.
3. Check the Battery and Power Adapter:
- Inspect for Damage: Ensure there are no visible damages to the power adapter and cable.
- Use a Different Adapter: If possible, try using a different, compatible power adapter to see if that resolves the issue.
4. Inspect for Internal Issues:
Since the laptop was recently cleaned, it's possible something was accidentally disconnected or damaged during the process. If you're comfortable opening the laptop:
- Open the Laptop:
- Carefully open the laptop following the manual or a trusted guide.
- Check Connections:
- Inspect internal cables and connectors, ensuring everything is securely connected, especially the battery, power button, and motherboard connections.
- Look for Damage:
- Look for any signs of damage, such as loose components, disconnected cables, or any visible residue that might have been left behind during cleaning.
5. BIOS Reset:
- Some laptops have a reset button or a combination of keys that can reset the BIOS. Consult the manual for specific instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
