Hi @Nicc4,
Thank you for the details.
Try these steps:
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Shut down your notebook completely.
- Disconnect any external devices.
- Remove the battery if it's accessible. Hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then turn on the notebook.
Automatic Repair:
- After performing the hard reset, restart your notebook.
- When it starts, if you see a "Preparing Automatic Repair" message, let it complete. It might resolve the issue.
Boot into Safe Mode:
- If the "Choose your keyboard layout" screen appears again, select your layout.
- Attempt to access the Advanced Troubleshooting options.
- You can try pressing F8, F11, or Shift + F8 during startup, depending on your model.
- Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- Press F4 to boot in Safe Mode and see if that allows you to log in.
Restore the System:
- If you can access Advanced Options, use System Restore to take your notebook back to a previous state when it was working correctly.
- Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore and follow the prompts.
Reset the PC:
- As a last resort, consider resetting your notebook. Ensure to select the option to keep your files, if possible.
- Navigate to Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Keep my files.
I hope this helps.
