Hi! @Punit1503, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I understand you have issues performing a system recovery on your PC using the recovery partition.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
As you mentioned you have issues performing a system recovery on your PC using the recovery partition.
Try the steps recommended below.
Restore the BIOS to default and check if it helps.
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Also, try the steps recommended below.
Turn off the computer.
Disconnect all connected devices and cables such as Personal Media Drives, USB drives, printers, and faxes. Remove media from internal drives, and remove any recently added internal hardware.
Do not disconnect the monitor, keyboard, mouse, or power cord.
Turn on the computer.
From the Start screen, type recovery manager, and then select HP Recovery Manager from the search results.
If you are prompted for an Administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide the confirmation. If a User Account Control window asks if you want to allow the program to make changes to the computer, click Yes.
Under Help, click Windows Recovery Environment.
Click OK. The system will reboot into the Windows Recovery Environment.
Click Troubleshoot.
Click Recovery Manager.
Click Recover without backing up your files, and then click Next.
Read the System Recovery information. To proceed, click Next.
Recovery Manager is preparing the system for recovery.
The preparations are complete. Click Continue.
The computer restarts. Follow any on-screen instructions and do not interrupt it during the process. The computer might restart a number of times during the recovery process.

@Punit1503, Thanks for your quick response and time again.
I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us again.
As you mentioned you don't have an option of recovery manager in the recovery partition.
It looks like the partition must have got corrupted due to which you don't have an option of recovery manager.
Please contact HP support and order a set of recovery discs and try performing a recovery.

But, the recovery manager option is not available in the recovery environment in F11 menu.

@Punit1503, Thanks for your quick response and again.
As you mentioned in the windows start menu you don't see an option of recovery manager.
Did you install the operating system using the retail copy of Microsoft?
If you have installed the operating system using the retail copy of Microsoft, you will not have an option of HP recovery manager.
HP recovery manager will be only available if you install the operating system using the HP recovery kit.
So try installing the operating system using the HP recovery kit, you should have an option of recovery manager again.
Hope this answers your query!
Take Care! 🙂

@Punit1503, Thanks for your quick response and time again.
I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us.
As you mentioned the operating system installed on your PC is HP shipped OS and you don't have an option of recovery manager.
If you have a working Recovery partition and have set it as an active partition but it still not working. Then your BIOS setting has been overided. BIOS loader may be one of the problems.
If you knew how to use the BIOS loader you can uninstall it to solve the issue.
And these steps are performed at a service center level, even I'm not sure of modifying the settings.
So I suggest you order a set of recovery discs and perform recovery on your PC to get the HP recovery manager back on your PC.

@Punit1503, Thanks again for the reply.
Since you downloaded the image directly from the Microsoft website. You can contact Microsoft support and get assistance as I said earlier.
Also, If HP had given you an option of free upgrade to windows 10. You can contact HP phone support and order a set of windows 10 recovery kit.
Take Care!
Have a great weekend ahead! 🙂
