Hi  @SID190,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how important it is to have access to your Microsoft 365 applications, especially when your laptop is only a few months old. I'll be glad to help you check this further.

To better understand the situation, could you kindly share the following details:

  • Was Microsoft 365 working previously on this laptop?
  • Are you signed in with the same Microsoft account that was used when the laptop was first set up?
  • Do you see any specific error message or error code when opening Word, Excel, or other Office applications?
  • Is the issue occurring with all Microsoft 365 apps or only a specific application?

In the meantime, kindly try the following steps:

  1. Open any Office application (Word, Excel, etc.).
  2. Select File -Account.
  3. Check whether Microsoft 365 shows as Activated or whether it is asking you to sign in.
  4. Sign out of all Microsoft accounts listed there, restart the laptop, and then sign back in using the Microsoft account that was originally used to activate Microsoft 365.
  5. Visit your Microsoft Services & Subscriptions page and verify whether your Microsoft 365 subscription or license is associated with your account:

If your laptop came with Microsoft Office preinstalled, the product key is often linked digitally to the Microsoft account used during the initial setup rather than being printed on the device.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
