My wife's 17in laptop has issues.! While she is shopping for a new machine I am trying to wipe the disk, install a new version of Windows on it and gift it to a grand child. And I cannot. Resetting the PC from the OS fails, repeatedly. Trouble shooting fails, reputedly. .And for 2 or 3 days I have failed to be able to run a disk wiper (dban) on her machine --because I can't get her PC to boot to a USB flash drive, the internal DVD drive or even an external drive. The problem is probably the UEFI Boot order or something else in the Bios settings. Boot order choices are (1) internal CD/DVD ROM drive (2) USB CD/DVD ROM drive (3) OS boot manager and (4) USB Flash Drive/USB hard Disk. None of those saved choices work for me. Other bootable media fails too, so it's not just dban. Sure could use some help, thnx in advance.

Very simple.
Please download Windows 10 ISO from the following link and save on your computer,
Mount ISO file as DVD drive (no need to burn nor use DVD drive itself)
Run Setup
During the installation process, do NOT click to keep user files/data and apps/programs
It will do a CLEAN install Windows 10 based on the product key which is embedded in BIOS.
Regards.
