Update / Edit - Add information for "Snip"

Instead of using Print Screen,

Consider using Snip -- the app is more versatile.

Recent updates have made it more interesting to use - watch out for the new settings!

If set to automatically save snipped content, files are stored in

C:\Users\AccountName\Pictures\Screenshots

From Microsoft

Use Snipping Tool to capture screenshots

And / or

Microsoft - Open Snipping Tool and take a Screenshot

Windows 11  / Windows 10

Original Content

Try checking the Clipboard

Clipboard Settings

Settings > System > scroll down > Clipboard

Open the Clipboard Settings to Adjust settings

Use Windows key + V to view contents of Clipboard

Scroll down the list - Find the item

Click on the item to select

Open (for example) Paint or other edit / document (Word) >

Use Insert / Paste / Cntrl-V to add the clipboard content

Save the Image / document

Example - Windows 11 - Settings > System > Clipboard > Settings for Clipboard

Settings_System_Clipboard_1Settings_System_Clipboard_1

Search for how to use the contents of your Clipboard

Open browser > search for "clipboard how to use" or similar.

I can see the screenshot when I press windowskey+v  and the clipboard history is on .

The  problem is when I try to find it , my laptop does not hsow the folder screenshots where they are supposed to be saved  under C:\Users\name\Pictures\Screenshots

the folder Screenshots does not exist at all under Pictures .

Is there a way maybe that I can use to find this folder and see all my saved screenshots.

Why is your screenshot save broken?

No idea at the moment.

What you describe is apparently a thing -- there are articles on the 'net about the problem.

One of many examples found:

Screenshots not saving in Pictures folder in Windows 11/10
