laptop 15-ay006nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good morning,

my laptop (product: 15-ay006nl; SO: Windows 10 64 BIT) was very slow and i have decided to restore it at the factory state.

F11 on restart and I went into restoration.

Step 1: save personal files with a prior bachup, on a pen-drive: ok.

Step 2: restore the system.

After a few hours, the computer was ready: okk!!

But, the backup files on the pen-drive  how are they doing restored?

There are 15 .svm files in the "G:\Backup_2022-01-01 194058\FBData" directory : they can be opened with 7zip, but an error message indicates "access not allowed".

Then, I restart my computer, F11 to enter in restore mode, but ther is not a solution to restore this backup files, only the ability to restore Windows.

If I try to have the files restored with Windows restore,  a message indicates then there are no files to restore in the history...

How can I restore this files, very important for me?

Thanks for reply.

When you run a Backup with program "X" for the Recovery you have to use the same program "X"
A program like Macrium can't restore backup files created with Acronis!

But that was your fundamental error. First you have to check if a recovery works or not using testfiles.

Maybe I was not clear.

The backup copy was proposed and made by HP SYSTEM RESTORE, before restoring the system.

The first thing I did was go back to System Restore to ask to restore the previous copies, but there was a single item: restore Windows.

For this I have tried with other systems.

Why does not HP SYSTEM RESTORE restores its backups?

How to do?

I have lost everything?

Thans for reply.
