Hi! i have a problem where if i try to update my system or reinstall it it shows a white screen with some lines, it doesnt do this if i try to boot up any linux distro, is this because my laptop is too old, or can i do something to fix it?

We don't support Linux, so I can't tell you why that works -- but it does have totally different video drivers from Windows. So, that could explain why the laptop displays OK on Linux but not on Windows.
Also, I presume that when you boor Linux, you are doing that from a USB stick, right? So in that case, the hard drive is not getting involved.
Does the white screen appear right away in the Windows boot, before you get the login prompt? Or does it appear after the login when you are at the Windows desktop?

Hi, sorry for the late reply, when i boot into windows everything is right(Windows 1909), yes i do boot both linux and windows from an usb stick, i dont think its a display issue since in windows everything is good, the white screen and a few lines, appears instead of the boot logo, instead of the windows logo(bios mode) or hp logo(uefi mode), updating everything goes right, then i see this screen, and then i need to force it to restart, then windows says that it couldnt install updates, if needed, i can recreate it and send a picture

IF you're having problems with Windows Updates, we have no way to diagnose or fix those -- as those are entirely due to MS issues.
You would have to go into Windows Update, find the update that failed, write down the failure code, and do online research to see what it takes to fix that.
