Hi @NathiNcayya, thanks for posting. Sorry to hear about the hard disk error.
1. Turn the laptop off, power it on and tap Esc, then press F2.
2. Go to Component Tests > Storage > Hard Drive and run the Quick Test, then the Extensive Test.
3. If it fails, write down the 24-digit failure ID; the drive needs to be replaced (HP repairs it in warranty: https://support.hp.com/check-warranty).
4. If it passes, run a power drain (unplug everything, hold power 60 s) and try booting again.
Back up your data as soon as possible. Keep me posted!

Hi @NathiNcayya,
Just checking in since it's been a few weeks since my last reply. Did the steps help?
If they did, clicking "Yes" or "Accept as Solution" on the reply that worked would be greatly appreciated. It also helps other users with the same issue find the fix faster.
If it's still not resolved, just tell me what you're seeing now and I'll be happy to keep helping.
